CalCuties Privacy Policy

Mobile app · Updated 22 October 2026 · Provided by Itulis

Who provides this app

This policy applies to the CalCuties mobile app, provided by Itulis. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@calcuties.com. You can read this policy offline in Profile. The calcuties.com website has a separate website policy because its features and online services differ from the mobile app.

Data stored on your device

CalCuties stores your chosen name, age group, education preference, settings, calculation history, Star Points and unlocked content on your device to provide these features. The age choice is stored locally; we do not ask for a date of birth. Calculations run on your device, including financial and health-related calculators. The app does not require an online account and does not send your saved profile or calculation history to a CalCuties account server. Choosing an education level does not verify your age.

Ads and privacy choices

Users aged 13–17 see no ads. Until an adult age group is selected and onboarding is complete, CalCuties does not start Google's consent flow or initialize or request ads through Google Mobile Ads. For users aged 18 and older, CalCuties requests non-personalized ads with a General Audiences content rating. This still involves data processing: Google can collect and share IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention. IP addresses may be used to estimate approximate location. The app checks Google's consent service before requesting ads and pauses ads if that check fails. Where required, a consent form is shown. Adults can review the choices available to their device in Profile > Ad privacy, including withdrawal or opt-out where offered. Reward ads are optional; other ad placements can appear during normal use for adults. Changing the age group to under 18 stops new app ad requests; close and reopen CalCuties on a shared device because an SDK already started in the adult session cannot be shut down by this setting. Google's policies describe its processing, retention and available privacy controls.

Online currency rates

Currency rates come from Frankfurter. The app requests rates using currency codes, and network providers receive normal request information such as an IP address. We do not add your saved name, calculation history or entered amounts to these requests. Frankfurter states that its API does not collect or log personal data, IP addresses or request URLs. Rates are cached locally; provider processing follows the linked policy.

Sharing results

Sharing is initiated by you. The app creates a result image in its cache and opens your device's sharing options. The selected content goes to the destination you choose, which may retain it under its own policy. CalCuties does not upload the share image to a CalCuties server. Review the image before sharing, especially if it contains personal financial or health information.

Support email and retention

Contacting hello@calcuties.com opens your email app; CalCuties does not read your mailbox or send a message automatically. If you send an email, we receive your sender address, message and any attachments to answer your request. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards messages to our support mailbox hosted by Google Gmail. We delete support messages and attachments from the mailbox we control within 90 days after the issue is resolved, unless retention is required by law. Provider-managed logs and backup copies follow the providers' retention policies. Please use sample inputs and avoid sending passwords, identity documents or unnecessary health or financial details.

Audio, camera and purchases

Mascot sounds are bundled with the app; playing them does not contact ElevenLabs. Current Voice and Camera previews do not record microphone or camera input. Real-money purchases are unavailable in this version, so the app does not request payment details. Development previews can simulate purchases without taking payment; those local test purchases cannot be restored through an app store.

Security and service providers

Rate requests use HTTPS, and Google documents TLS encryption for data sent by its Mobile Ads SDK. This is transport protection, not end-to-end encryption of all data. CalCuties does not add application-level encryption to local app storage. Device protections and backup encryption depend on your platform and settings; backups may include app data. Protect your device and its backups. Email transport and storage depend on the email providers involved. Google, Cloudflare and rate providers may process information outside your country under their own policies. We do not operate a separate CalCuties analytics or crash-reporting service; this does not exclude the diagnostics collected by the advertising SDK.

Removing local data

Local data remains until you remove it, clear app storage, or it is replaced by the app's history/cache limits. Clear history in Profile removes saved calculations. Your device's app-storage controls remove local settings, history, points and unlocks. Uninstalling normally removes app storage, but backups are managed separately and may restore data. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase data held only on your device. Data held by Google, rate providers or a sharing destination follows their retention and deletion rules.

Privacy requests

Email hello@calcuties.com with the subject Privacy request to ask about access, correction or deletion of support information we hold. Describe your request and, if relevant, the email address used to contact us; do not send an identity document with the initial request. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm that the request concerns you. Applicable law may provide additional rights, including a complaint to a data protection authority. There is no online CalCuties account to delete. For information controlled by a service provider or a sharing destination, use that provider's privacy controls or contact process.

Audience and updates

CalCuties is designed for teens aged 13 and older and adults, and is not directed to children under 13. Users who select Under 13 cannot continue into the app. Age groups are self-declared, not independently verified, and can be corrected in Profile > Age group. All calculator tools and Daily Rewards are available to users aged 13 and older, including teens without ads. Parents and guardians can review this policy with their teen. A 13+ audience label or education preference is not consent to advertising. We update this policy when data practices change and show the revision date. Profile includes the policy bundled with your installed app version.

Website and development previews

The public calcuties.com website has no advertising SDK or reward ads. The separate developer web preview of the mobile app can show labelled ad and purchase simulations; it does not run the native Google Mobile Ads SDK. The website policy explains browser storage, hosting and online rates on calcuties.com.
